New Members Welcome

Being a member of the New Zealand Coffee Producers Association connects you to the people, knowledge and conversations shaping this new industry. It’s designed for growers and producers who are comfortable being first movers and know the value of shared learning. It’s also for industry stakeholders, researchers and associates who are motivated to support the development of this New Zealand industry.

NZCPA is a not-for-profit organisation; we rely on membership fees, project funding, and sponsorship to do our work and to develop resources that will benefit the industry development.

A formal organisation enables our members to develop faster together, have legitimacy with policy makers and global organisation, and to collectively build a recognisable product and narrative for New Zealand-grown specialty coffee that is grounded in quality, provenance, ethical practices, traceability and innovation.

Members are empowered and supported to chart their own course, and build their own unique product and brand, while having influence over the industry development. We don’t promise quick returns or guaranteed success. Instead, we provide current, credible information, connections, and support so members can make informed decisions.

All members are:
  • committed to the values of the specialty coffee industry – quality, traceable, ethical.
  • value and foster mahi tahi (collaboration) for the benefit of the industry.
  • pursue tohungatanga (expertise/ knowledge) to strengthen and grow the industry.
  • practice whanaungatanga (respect, foster, and practice good relationships) for the benefit of all.
