The centre for coffee research and development, a rich source of data and information with the aim to grow, protect, and enhance supplies of quality coffee while improving the livelihood of the families who produce it.

WCR Coffee Varieties Catalogue https://varieties.worldcoffeeresearch.org/  

Published in 2025 this is a detailed resource to help coffee farmers decide which coffee is best for their situation (Note: Protecting NZ’s pest and disease-free status is vital to sustainable development of our industry, New Zealand biosecurity rules must be followed for all seed importation). 

Coffee Quality Institute https://www.coffeeinstitute.org/

An independent not-for-profit organisation that established the Q (quality) Coffee System, a cycle of education, evaluation, certification and a common language that transformed how coffee is bought and sold. 

The Specialty Coffee Association https://sca.coffee/

The world’s largest coffee trade association dedicated to supporting a thriving, equitable and sustainable endeavour for the entire value chain. 

Alliance for Coffee Excellence (ACE) https://allianceforcoffeeexcellence.org/

For over 20 years ACE has been providing a transparent global auction platform for award winning and other exemplary quality coffee farmers to realize the true financial value of their coffee. ACE manages the Cup of Excellence which is the most prestigious competition and award for high quality coffees. Winning coffees are sold in global online auctions at premium prices, with the vast majority of auction proceeds going to the farmers.
